Youngstown, OH – On Tuesday, October 24, 2017 the Youngstown Phantoms assisted The Walnut Grove in building an all-inclusive playground.
This extensive project has a cost over $1.5 million dollars and is being built on donated land in Canfield, Ohio. The playground equipment is designed for accessibility by individuals with all disabilities across the spectrum, and is even rated for adult use. The closest comparable facility is in Cleveland which was built over 10 years ago.
The community build of the playground started the weekend of October 14th where most of the equipment was installed. The Phantom players were able to help finish off some of the equipment that was not installed in the primary build.
The Youngstown Phantoms are proud to be able to support non-profits like The Walnut Grove and look forward to working on other projects in the future.
